Support for High Availability / IP Failover
November 12, 2007 9:26 am
I've added a new utility which, in effect, allows you to do some of the whole "High Availability" clustering thing, with IP failover between Linodes within the same data center. The utility does not manage or configure IP failover for you, but it does allow the selected IP addresses from linked Linodes to be brought up on other Linodes.
This new feature is located here, off the new Utilities sub-tab.

I assume that if we want to use this feature you'll try your best to get our redundant host in a different rack and on a different breaker?
Absolutely.

Were you working on this when I opened a ticker for this?
or you just began after and finished the job?
Either way it is amazing! I will test this feature soon.
Thanks!
