Got to echo what nathalie says above.

I just rebooted after Chris told me (on IRC) that it was needed to use the additional RAM. The uptime was 64 days and so predated when the increased RAM was allocated.

I too pay yearly and the extra disk space looks like it'll come in handy since it's at 50% utilization already.

After spending the previous year with Virpus which began excellently and then got progressively worse, the last three months have been like a vacation.

Can't recommend Linode highly enough for reliability, control via dashboard, and of course the highly competent and friendly support including by instant chat on IRC.

I too remember when my linodes were on the linode 64 plan. It was a great deal then for root control of an online box not owned by my employer. It just keeps getting better.

Caker, you have a great thing going. I pay a year at a time and get a little extra disk space. I hardly ever use the linode dashboard or need customer service.... Why, simply because linode works, day in, day out, my linode is always there trouble free! Then when I log in after months of being away from the dashboard, I find that plans have become even more bang for the buck... and caker has made sure that his loyal customers are getting the same great deal that linode is using to attract new customers.

Thanks again Linode.com, Ill continue to speak the linode faith, have a nother great year!

[quote:d733e034d1="Ciaran"]No probs! I would ask that if you do use them, though, save them onto your own server - don't use them directly from my server, if possible. Thanks. :)
Of course I'll respect your bandwidth. Thanks again for sharing your work.

Here's a few to get you started:

http://www.linode.com/~tom/pics/Linode/logos/
Thanks. Can you create an official logo that looks like this?

http://neo101.org/logos/powered_by_linode.png

I used http://cooltext.com/ to generate this one but the letter "n" doesn't look that good.
This isn't official in any way, shape or form (I'm not Linode staff), but I took that logo, cleaned it up a bit, and added Linode's cube symbol, which you might like to try:

http://matrix.theblob.org/powered-by-linode.png

Hopefully it works for you!

[edit: Actually, hold on a sec, I'll update it with better colours]

[edit 2: Okay, here's the version with better colours:

http://matrix.theblob.org/powered-by-linode-2.png ]
Thanks! I like them both and will use one of them. Probably the all green one.

Oh no! The usual long line of people fighting over to have caker's (and rest of Linode, Inc.) baby! :-)

Thanks guys! It's amazing. I've gone from a Linode 256 to a Linode 720 at no extra cost over two years. Truly something. And, yes, I do use the memory well. It's lessened the mem pressure on my Linode to next-to-nothing and also reduced some of the I/O load.
